self-contained trainers provide a real sensation of working with
an endoscopic-video-monitor system. All trainers include our
SimScope™ video camera. This is a composite video system

Dexter is a non-anatomic endoscopic dexterity training system
that enables advanced endoscopy skills training. Dexter
participants use an endoscope to locate images within the
manikin and the images are identified on the image chart
provided. The difficult airway remains among the greatest
clinical concerns of most anaesthesiologists/anaesthetists and
among the most common causes of serious anaesthesia related
morbidity and mortality. Participation in an endoscopy workshop
using Dexter will allow skills to be practiced to achieve and
maintain a high level of endoscopic dexterity. Despite the widespread awareness of fibreoptic intubation as the gold standard of management in most difficult airway situations, this powerful technique remains under-utilised. Even when difficult airways are anticipated preoperatively, there may be reluctance to alter routine management and plan awake fibreoptic intubation. Few anaesthetists actively maintain their endoscopic skills, and only a minority of teaching programs formally train their registrars/residents in endoscopic techniques. Dexter addresses widely expressed concerns regarding the attainment of psychomotor skills related to endoscopy. It promotes the skills required to break the "circle of failure" and maintain a state of endoscopic procedural readiness. Skills are gained during guided endoscopic navigation of a range of unique non-anatomical structures of varying complexity. Dexter can be easily configured to assist novices or to challenge experts. of episiotomy, and repair of perineal lacerations. The
full procedure can be carried out. The perineum, vagina and
bowel are represented by a replaceable soft tissue pad. It
contains superficial muscle structure and relevant layers for
suturing. The episiotomy can be sited left, right or midline.
The perineum can be distended to replicate delivery. Surface is
washable. Clamps are included to stabilize the trainer during

own incision into the soft, lifelike pad, students and
instructors can create a traditional episiotomy or nearly any
type of first- through fourth-degree lacerations. Embedded
